“I Wasn’t Emotionally Okay” – Karole Kasita Explains Why She Didn’t Feature on ‘Nassanga’

Karole Kasita has finally broken her silence on the controversy surrounding her decision not to feature on the now-trending “Nassanga” remix, explaining that she was battling deeply personal family challenges at the time.

Speaking to the media, the singer revealed that she was going through an emotionally difficult period and even informed producer Butamagical about her situation, although she chose not to disclose the full extent of her struggles because they were too personal.

Kasita emphasized that she was fully committed to the project and made every effort to participate, but circumstances beyond her control prevented her from recording her verse.

“I had very many family problems. I remember I called Butamagical and explained to him, but not in detail because they were too personal. I couldn’t tell him exactly what I was going through,” she said.

She recounted arriving at the studio ready to record, only to find there was no electricity. With personal issues demanding her attention, she decided to leave before power was restored.

“I played my part. I went to the studio and found there was no power, yet I had my own challenges. I drove away. He later called me when the power had returned, but I couldn’t make it back.”

Kasita also disclosed that she had already paid the songwriter for the verse she intended to record, insisting that her absence from the final version was never due to a lack of interest in the song.

“I even paid for the verse that I was supposed to voice from the writer.”

The singer believes things unfolded the way they were meant to, suggesting that fate had other plans for the hit remix.

“I think God wanted the song to feature other individuals, but I did my part.”

She concluded by admitting that while she genuinely loved the song and had every intention of recording it, her emotional state at the time made it impossible.

“I felt the song because I went to the studio with the purpose of recording it, but I wasn’t emotionally okay as a person. I was going through some emotional problems, to be sincere.”
