“No Need To Worry” Dr. Chris Baryomunsi Comforts Ugandans

Dr. Chris Baryomunsi a Ugandan physician and politician have asked Ugandans not to worry about his health condition.

The Minister of ICT and National Guidance was on Saturday night (07th. January. 2023) moved from Kinkizi in Kanungu to Mulago Hospital after feeling unwell while he was visiting different constituents.

Before being taken to Kampala (Mulago hospital) between 9 pm and 10 pm for extra treatment, Dr. Baryomunsi was first hurried to Kambuga Hospital in Kanungu.

His wife Fosca Baryomunsi said he felt ill and was taken to Kambuga Hospital before being flown to Kampala for better care.

Yes, they had to rush him to Kambuga Hospital after he developed severe exhaustion from overworking. The good news is that he was just airlifted to Kampala and can speak, according to a hospital source.

Friends, yesterday I had a black out while in my constituency. I was moving from one church function to another. I was rushed to Kambuga Hosp and then airlifted to Mulago Hospital. Am now stable and out of danger. The medical team is carrying out further tests. No need to worry.

It should be remembered that Baryomunsi began his political career in high school, where he served as the elected minister for education at St. Paul’s Seminary from 1988 to 1990. He later joined Makerere University in the early 1990s and he was the finance secretary for the Federation of African Medical Students’ Association and the secretary for finance for the Makerere University Medical Students’ Association. In 2005, he was appointed as a United Nations Population Fund HIV/AIDS Advisor for Harare.

Abruptly, He turned down the job and then contested in the 2006 Ugandan parliamentary election, and fortunately, he won as the NRM political party candidate for the Kinkiizi County East constituency in Kanungu District.
