FA Cup: 3 Premier League Teams Are Attempting To Advance To The Fourth Round.

Over the weekend, the 142 nd edition of the FA Cup continued. This was the Third round of the competition. A total of seven premier league teams made it successfully to the next round. Three Premier League teams are looking to make it to the fourth round of the FA Cup.

One of the three teams which have unfinished business in the third round of the FA Cup is none other than Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal. The Gunners are actually going to pay a visit to Oxford in a Monday night fixture. The winner of this tie will face Manchester City in the Fourth round of the FA Cup.

This tie between City and Arsenal is an anticipated one. The premier League rivalry between both teams as they seek to win the EPL trophy will be automatically shifted into the F.A Cup. It is almost certain that Arsenal will overcome Oxford and set up a blockbuster encounter with Manchester City.

Liverpool, the defending champions of the FA Cup are set to face Wolverhampton Wanderers in a replay after a 2-2 goal thriller. In fact, the Wolves had netted a late winner only to be canceled by VAR. Though Liverpool’s Jürgen Klopp later ruled that it should have been counted. The winner of these two will pay a visit to Brighton and Hove Albion for their fourth-round tie.

Lastly, after a dramatic game that saw Cardiff city receive a red card while leading Leeds United, the latter equalized in stoppage time to set up a replay. The game ended 2-2. Leeds United will be confident of a positive result. This would then set them up with either Boreham Wood / Accrington in the FA Cup fourth round.
