Former Blue3 singer Jackie Chandiru has tipped fellow female artists in the music business not to give birth early as long as they are not financially stable.
Jackie Chandiru who has been in the music business for close to two decades now is yet to give birth to children and yet her peers with whom she started have two children or more children that they have given birth to.
For example, Cindy Sanyu will soon be welcoming her third child with her husband Prynce Joel Okuyo whereas Lilian Mbabazi gave birth to children of the late Mowzey Radio.
The time Jackie Chandiru would have also got interested to give birth, she spent it in rehabilitation struggling and battling drug abuse to recover back to her feet which some people had no mercy for her.
Although she has been drug-free for over a year, she still feels financially unprepared to start a family. She believes that her lifestyle currently would not provide the best life for a child.
From that point of view, she cautioned fellow female artists not to give birth in case they are not financially stable saying men are unreliably noting how a man can make you pregnant and then disappear through thin air.
“As a lady in the music industry, I advise fellow women in the industry not to give birth early. This is if they are not ready for the circumstances in case the man runs away and leaves you with the kid. One has to be financially stable to give birth. And if one isn’t ready they should not give birth,” she said.
It should be noted that Jackie had a worthwhile music career before drug abuse put a stop to everything. She has not been able to churn out a song in many years.
She made the statements while appearing on NBS TV during the Amasegenjje Extra show.
