UNRA Announces Traffic Flow Changes In Kampala

KAMPALA, UGANDA: Motorists who want to access the city centre from Entebbe road will have to use other routes as the road will be closed to vehicles due to the ongoing work on the Kampala Flyover Project, the Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) has today 03rd of January 2023 announced.

Consequently, to minimize traffic congestion, motorists from the Kibuye roundabout are advised to access Lubiri Ring Road and Lubaga Road, while motorists from Gaba Road are directed to use the Mukwano Road route instead.

According to UNRA, the traffic on Queen’s Way will also be changed for some time and the traffic flow from the main city along Entebbe Road towards the clock tower junction will not be affected by these changes and will smoothly proceed normally and there will be controlled traffic flow to and from the city centre of Kampala.

Drivers from the USAFI roundabout – Mengo Hill Road are to access the city centre through Ben Kiwanuka Street or other connecting roads.

Motorists have also been advised not to use clock tower junctions wherever possible and to obey traffic management guidelines put in place while driving.
