PC Gaming Platform Steam Hit 10million Simultaneous In-game Players

Gaming, just like social media, is one of the most engaging activities. You can call it a leisure activity though some earn from it.

PC Gaming Platform, Steam hit 10 million simultaneous in-game Players for the first time.

For starters, if you are new to the gaming world; the games being talked about here are majorly computer games. These are games that are played on or using electronic devices. The electronic devices include gaming consoles, smartphones, laptops, and computers among others.

All said and done, Steam is the largest digital distribution for Computer gaming. It was measured in 2013 to have around 75% of the market share.

With a focus on video game digital distribution services and storefront by Valve, Steam in 2021 was reported to have over 34,000 games with over 132 million monthly active users.

The Milestone: 10 million Simultaneous in-game players

Over the weekend, Steam “ logged 10, 082,055 ‘in-game ‘ players over 30 million users at the same point.”

This means that the service had over 30 million users active online. However, 10 million of these were actively playing games at the same. Thus registering a remarkable feat that had never happened before on the platform.

One may wonder what the other Online users were doing at the moment. Apparently, Steam is not only used for gaming purposes but also to chat with friends and also download various updates on the platform.
