Veteran Ugandan musician Ronald Mayinja has announced plans for a major concert next year as he celebrates 30 years in Uganda’s music industry.
Mayinja revealed that the concert will take place on May 7, 2027, at Serena Hotel Kampala, with preparations already underway.
According to the singer, ordinary tickets will cost Shs 150,000, while a table will go for Shs 3 million.
“I will organize one next year on May 7 as I will be celebrating 30 years of music by Ronald Mayinja. I started music in 1996,” Mayinja said.
The veteran musician admitted that thinking about the milestone concert already gives him chills, given the extensive catalogue he has accumulated since beginning his professional music journey in 1996.
He promised fans a bigger and better experience than his previous concert, while calling on his supporters to turn up in large numbers to celebrate the milestone with him.
“Whenever I think about that show, I even get shivers because I have a big catalog for 30 years. I have to do better than the one I did last year, so I’m requesting that you come,” he said.
Mayinja has remained one of Uganda’s most consistent musicians since breaking into the professional music scene in the 1990s, building a catalogue that has earned him a loyal following across generations.
