The game between Arsenal Football Club and Tottenham Hotspur ended 2- 0, in favor of Arsenal. This highly anticipated game got Arsenal fans jubilating as early as the first half when they had already bagged 2 goals, with their opponents still trailing.

The own goal from Hugo Lloris and a brilliant finish from Martin Odegaard is what put Arsenal in the driving seat and by the end of the first half, the gunners were leading. This gave them more confidence to even play better in the second half, ensuring that they don’t concede any goal while still attacking relentlessly.

The second half of the match started in high gear for Tottenham because they came back very charged and with a different style of play. They got several chances but unfortunately, they couldn’t convert them into goals. Harry Kane’s side continued to struggle throughout the game but Arsenal couldn’t allow them.

Mikel Arteta’s side is now eight (8) points clear on top of the Premier league table, with a total of 47 points. Their immediate rivals are Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City who comes second with 39 points, followed by Newcastle united with 38 points, then Manchester united with 38 points too in the 4th position.

This North London derby has shown that if Arsenal continues to play this way, then they might go with the trophy home. However, it is too early to predict this and so we have to wait for more action and see which club finally takes the day.
