Songster Lydia “Jazmine” Nabawanuka opened up about how she handles turbulent relationships, revealing that she prefers walking away rather than waiting for a man to end things.
The singer was speaking about her song “EX,” which she admitted was inspired by a specific person who had broken her heart.
Asked whether she has ever been cheated on, Lydia said heartbreak and infidelity are experiences that can happen to anyone, regardless of their fame or status.

“I’ve a song titled ‘Ex’ and I was hitting out at someone specific. Everyone gets heartbroken, why not? I’ve seen the biggest artists in the world being cheated on. The likes of Rihanna and Beyoncé getting cheated on. Everyone can be cheated on, and I’ve had those,” she said.
Lydia, however, revealed that she does not stay in relationships where she feels betrayed. Instead, she chooses to leave on her own terms.
“But do you know what I do? I walk away. I don’t wait for the man to chuck me. I walk away myself,” she added.
The “EX” song, she explained, is not only about romantic relationships but also addresses fake friends and anyone who may have wronged her.
“The song hits at many, including fake friends and anything you would want,” she noted.
For Lydia Jazmine, heartbreak may be painful, but she believes in choosing herself and walking away when a relationship no longer serves her.
