In a largely shut down world in 2020, pop stars and creative artists alike took new approaches to music videos—and finding that they may be the most adaptive medium for making creative material at the time.

In a time when the threat of COVID-19 was still very real, creatives in Uganda found a balance between staying safe and doing their jobs. Their were a couple of videos released in the past four months of the lockdown that displayed a spectrum of approaches on how they keep creating and promoting themselves in a radically altered world.

Now, Videographer Sasha Vybz has opened out how he shot Sheebah Karungi’s “Nakyuka” video which currently has about 6.6 million views with his phone.
He reasoned that he shot the video during the lockdown period as it was hard to move equipment from one destination to another.

According to Sasha Vybz, he shot the video with his iPhone 12 and he made this revelation a few days ago during his masterclass to aspiring video directors. He said most people think that you need to have expensive cameras to shoot a video but that is not the case.“Sheebah lives in my neighborhood and when she asked me to do this shoot, I could not move with my equipment due to transportation hardships, so I went to her place with my phone and shot the video,” he said.

When we asked him how much he charged her based on the fact that he put in little input, he told us it was an offer and only charged her Shs3m.

While many girls like to be made to feel special and pampered by their boyfriends, it’s not the same for guys. When girls go out of their way to do something special for their guy and do not get an enthusiastic response, all hell can break loose. The thing is, most guys react in a different manner than girls when a surprise comes their way.
Now, Theron Music’s versatile singers, dancers, and performing duo Kataleya and Kandle, has released a brand new love single titled Halleluyah.

In Halleluyah, the duo give thanks to the Lord for the divine and perfect love relationship they have been granted and they are indeed on exceedingly high levels of excitement and enthusiasm to make their boyfriends feel special.

“Halleluyah’” is a simple song, and its simplicity is what makes it stand out, and for the first few melismastic syllables, the duo sounds wracked with praise: Their voices slide into an easy, bluesy groove, their vocal cadence syncing up with the afrobeat arpeggio. The howl turns into a sort of sigh. They are both singing about an emotionally uncertain state. And then the drums kick in. Given that “Halleluyah” is not the first thing that most of us are hearing from Kataleya and Kandle, that’s a remarkably self-assured potential hit just like Njagala Money, Nyash, Do Me among others.

Halleluyah was engineered in Route Entertainment by the gifted audio producer and professional sound engineer, Producer Eli Arkhis and written by Yesse Oman Rafiki.

Halleluyah proves that guys don’t expect something extravagant from their girls. Most guys like things simple and relatable. The simple things in life bring a lot of joy and pleasure. A surefire way to melt your boyfriend’s heart is with music and this song has to be a sure dedication.
