Following her successful debut album “ Sour “ in 2021 and the famous debut single “ Drivers License” which was one of the best-selling songs in 2021, Olivia Rodrigo announced “ new music soon “ via her official Instagram account.

This follows her promise to release a second album in 2023. The 19-year-old who has already won 3 Grammy Awards announced the exciting news on Monday, January 9, 2023, via her Instagram Stories feed.
Rodrigo posted a short, black-and-white video to her Instagram Stories She is seen shaking her head to the beautiful piano chords being played by her producer, Dan Nigro.
“ Working on so many new songs I:m excited to show U,” Rodrigo writes alongside the video.
“ Thank U for everything.”
Fans were quick to welcome the good news. Rodrigo who looks up to Taylor Swift as her Idol surely has the voice and talent to produce songs that are as captivating as Taylor’s.

Speculation among some fans is that the album may be released in February as it is Rodrigo’s birth month. Another section of fans asserts that the album may be released in May since her first album “ Sour “ was also released in May.
Whether the album is released this month, February or May, we are yet to see but one thing is for sure: the music will be so amazing from Rodrigo who was named by Billboard as Woman of the Year in 2022.
