Tanzanian music scene is welcoming a fresh collaboration as Mr. Wings and KB Vallentino join forces on a new song titled “Maya,” accompanied by eye-catching visualizers.
The song is a romantic tribute to a beautiful woman whose natural beauty and kindness have left the two artists completely captivated.
Through their lyrics, Mr. Wings and KB Vallentino shower Maya with praise, celebrating what they describe as her God-given beauty while expressing the depth of their affection for her.
The artists take their love for Maya to an extreme level, suggesting that their feelings are so strong they could even go as far as hurting someone for her.
“Maya is a beautiful girl; I praise how God has blessed her and tell her that, because I love her so much, I am even willing to kill someone.”
Interestingly, “Maya” is not only the title of the song but is also associated with a dance style known as “Maya Maya,” adding another cultural and entertainment dimension to the project.
Behind the new project is Stanley Paul Hamad, popularly known as Mr. Wings, who was born on May 4, 1998, in Mbezi Beach, Dar es Salaam.
His journey in the entertainment industry started back in 2016, when he worked as a DJ under the name DJ Starboy.
He remained behind the decks for nearly a decade, continuing his DJ career until 2025. However, his passion for music eventually pushed him into recording and releasing his own songs.
In 2023, Stanley ventured into music recording and released his first song, “Salio,” under the DJ Starboy name. He subsequently released several other projects while maintaining the same identity.
Then came a major rebrand.
In 2025, he officially changed his artistic name from DJ Starboy to Mr. Wings, marking a new chapter in his music career.
Interestingly, in 2026, he decided to revisit his roots by re-releasing “Salio” under his new Mr. Wings identity.
