Ugandan singer Eddy Kenzo has reacted to posters circulating on social media announcing an alleged Eddy Kenzo Festival at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole, saying he has no problem with fans imagining and promoting such a show.
Speaking during an interview, Kenzo acknowledged the posters making rounds online and said he views them as a sign of the desire among his fans to see him stage a major festival.
“Dreams come true,” Kenzo said, adding that if his fans want an Eddy Kenzo Festival to the extent of creating their own posters, he has no problem with it.
The singer suggested that should the festival eventually become a reality, he has enough music and experience to put together a major production for his audience.
“I have the music and we can create a very good production if that day ever comes,” he said.

Kenzo also pointed to his experience performing at some of Uganda’s biggest entertainment venues, including Kololo and Lugogo, as evidence of the size of his fan base.
He further suggested that Namboole would not be too large for his supporters to fill if he eventually stages a concert there.
While the posters have generated excitement online, Kenzo did not confirm a date or officially announce an Eddy Kenzo Festival at Namboole in the remarks.
The singer has previously staged and planned major festival events, including the Eddy Kenzo Festival that was scheduled for Kololo Airstrip in 2020 before it was postponed during the COVID-19 period.
