Ugandan singer Tracy Melon has explained that her recent weight loss was caused by health challenges rather than a deliberate effort to achieve a particular body size.
The singer said she lost weight after falling sick, which affected her appetite while she was taking strong medication. According to Tracy, the combination contributed to the loss of several kilograms.
“I lost weight because I got sick and when you get sick you lose appetite and yet you’re on strong medication so you end up losing a few kilograms,” she explained.
Tracy also challenged the perception that being overweight should automatically be celebrated as a blessing. She argued that a bigger body should not necessarily be viewed as a desirable physical attribute, noting that weight alone does not determine a person’s health.

Asked about her current appearance, the singer said she does not have a specific body size she wants to maintain. However, she expressed confidence that her former body shape would eventually return.
Beyond the conversations about her physical transformation, Tracy addressed suggestions that she has become less active in the music industry because she has not recently had songs trending widely.
The singer dismissed claims that she has disappeared from the entertainment scene, insisting that she remains active and continues to receive performance bookings.
