Source Management singer Hajarah Namukwaya Diana, better known as Spice Diana, held a successful and sold-out concert which was held at Lugogo Cricket Oval, last night.
Before the show got underway, the style in which the stage was set up first grabbed the headlines as many Ugandan were thrilled by how it was built.
It was the first of its kind in the Ugandan entertainment industry as it looked magnificent and totally class apart from the rest that the other events company have set up in recent years.
It was reported that the individuals who set up the stage were five experts who jetted into the country a few days before the concert to join hands with ATS Events to put up an outstanding stage with excellent lighting giving Fenon Records a daunting challenge.
Away from the stage, pleasure seekers started flocking to Cricket Oval as early as 5:00 pm and by 8:00 pm the venue was fully packed. At around 8:30 PM, Bobi Wine’s wife Barbie Kyagulanyi, and her son Solomon Kampala made a grand entry into the venue amid wild cheers from the fans as welcomed them.
From the time the gates were open, till 9:00 pm, revelers were being treated to music mixes by different deejays with the aim of Spice Diana being the first to perform.
At exactly 9:00 Pm, Spice Diana took to the stage desce
nding from the top of the stage amid a fireworks display sparking wild ululations from the mammoth gathering that had turned up to show her massive love and support.
She immediately got underway with performances singing most of her old songs which included; Anti Kale, Body, Jangu Ondanbe, Toli Weka, Akagali, Nze Akwagala, Bukete, and Onsanula till 10:00 pm and took a break.
From 10 pm artists like Winnie Nwagi, Big Eye, King Michael, Shakira Shakirah, and Pastor Wilson Bugembe, took center stage and entertained the fans.
Sheebah Karungi who was rumored to beefing with Spice Diana also turned for the show as early as 8 pm and performed during the time Spice took a break and used the opportunity to clear the air about their alleged beef saying she is a feminist who supports and accords respect for fellow women.
After Sheebah’s performance, Spice returned to the stage to perform. After a few minutes, she invited Bobi Wine’s wife Barbie Kyagulanyi to the stage to have a word with the fans. As Barbie made her way to the stage, fans chanted asking where Bobi Wine was.
During her speech, Barbie Kyagulanyi applauded Spice Diana for being a strong woman who also cares about the less privileged as she presented her with a bouquet of flowers.
Barbie Kyagulanyi later called upon one of her Directors at Caring Hearts Uganda and gifted Spice Diana with an envelope that was believed to have some cash. Fans kept on wanting to know how much money Barbie gifted Spice Diana.
The show went past midnight and after a few minutes, Bebe Cool and Jose Chameleone were seen making an entrance at the venue to support Spice Diana.
Today Spice Diana will be at Collins Hotel Mukono and on Sunday she will be in Jinja.
