Vipers SC has this afternoon unveiled Brazilian Beto Luiz Bianchi as the club’s new head coach.

The unveiling of Beto Luiz Bianchi comes quickly in a period of fewer than three weeks following the departure of Roberto Oliviera who joined Tanzania’s Simba SC.

Beto Luiz Bianchi Oliviera left for Simba in late December after guiding the Venoms to the league title and the group stages of the Caf Champions League, a record he set for the club.

Lawrence Mulindwa, the club president wished the former coaches all the best and went ahead to explain the reason why they went for Bianchi Beto.

“On behalf of the Vipers family, we wish the former coach and his staff all the best wherever they will be,” said Mulindwa.

Mulindwa then stressed that he wants a coach who can build a formidable team that will be competitive to win the league and also squares off favorably at the Champions League.

He added that he needed a tactician who plays attractive and entertaining football with a philosophy that will fit the players at the club.

“We have the yardstick and parameters that guide us – proactive and self-motivated and professional in all aspects and ready to push Vipers to the next level. We wanted a coach who can build a formidable team that is competitive to win the league and also favorably compete at the Champions League. A one who plays attractive and entertainment Football and one with a philosophy to fit the players we have.”

Bianchi will be assisted by compatriot Roberto Martinez

In this January transfer window, Vipers have so far signed forward and attacking – left winger, an effort to beef up their squad for the Caf Champions League.
