Media personality Mary Nambwayo has opened up about her journey as a mother, revealing that she has been raising her son Kiyimba Ssuna Ben without the involvement of his father, DJ Ssuna Ben.
The revelation came as Nambwayo celebrated her son’s third birthday with a special celebration, which the DJ reportedly did not attend.
Speaking to Sanyuka TV, Nambwayo said she takes care of her child by herself with support from God, adding that DJ Ssuna Ben did not even reach out to wish their son a happy birthday.
“I take care of my child by myself with the help from God. We left his dad to God to work on him,” Nambwayo said.
Nambwayo and DJ Ssuna Ben’s relationship previously attracted public attention following a legal dispute over ownership of a multi-million home in Garuga, Entebbe, Wakiso District.
After a long legal battle, Nambwayo reportedly agreed to leave the property, allowing Ssuna Ben to retain ownership of the house and land title.
The media personality said the challenges she went through pushed her closer to God, leading her to focus on her faith and begin a new journey as a gospel artist.

Nambwayo explained that she found healing through her relationship with God, advising people not to depend entirely on others for emotional support.
“For some time now, I have moved away from the secular world and turned my focus to God. For all that I went through, I gave myself to God. My healing comes from God,” she said.
She added that expecting people to always provide solutions can lead to disappointment, but faith has helped her overcome difficult moments.
