Rapper Feffe Bussi has explained why he has chosen not to publicly reveal his lover, saying he does not believe the time is right.
Speaking during an interview with Spark TV, Feffe Bussi said he prefers to keep his relationship private because publicizing it could make people start anticipating its end.
“What do I gain if I bring her out? When you expose your relationship, they start counting down the time of how long it lasts. But it is not all about showing off one’s lover; it is about enjoying your life. People being together is not for the public. Besides, it’s not the intention for someone to keep their lover in the gallery; they have to have some standards to bring them into the public,” he said.
Feffe Bussi also declined to disclose when he plans to officially marry his secret girlfriend, instead urging the media to stop putting pressure on single people by constantly asking when they intend to get married.
According to the rapper, such questions can create unnecessary pressure and may push people into making rushed decisions, including settling for unsuitable partners simply because they feel they are running out of time.
“Please stop giving a gestation period. We are human, and as a person, you have the brains to decide what you want and when to do it, especially when you are above 18. This is not a pregnancy that I’m expected to give birth to in nine months. This puts so much pressure on people, forcing them to rush into relationships with people they are not ready to be with,” he said.
