Songbird Lydia Jazmine has finally addressed the talk surrounding her and fellow singer Prima Kadarshi, making it clear that she has no personal beef with her and has no interest in getting dragged into unnecessary industry drama.
The hitmaker says she has learnt to navigate the ups and downs of the entertainment industry during her 14-year music journey, including dealing with criticism, rumours and different personalities.
According to Lydia, experience has taught her that not every situation deserves a reaction.
“Sometimes you just get used to handling things within the music industry as time goes by,” she said.
The singer acknowledged that criticism comes with being a public figure, but stressed that what matters is how an artist chooses to respond when faced with negativity.
Addressing the question of whether she has a problem with Prima, Lydia appeared unfazed, insisting that the two are simply different people.
“Why would I have an issue with Prima? We are two different people,” she said.
Lydia further revealed that she deliberately keeps her distance from confrontations and negative energy, saying fans should already know that she is not the type to involve herself in public fights.
“You’ll not see me where fights are, and also don’t believe everything you’ve seen or heard because I’ll not defend myself always,” she said.
The singer also explained that she does not see the need to respond to every rumour, accusation or controversy attached to her name.
For Lydia, silence does not necessarily mean guilt or fear — sometimes, she simply chooses peace over drama.
She urged her fans to understand her personality and continue loving her for who she truly is, rather than judging her based on everything they hear or see online.
