Singer Ava Peace has opened up about a difficult year, revealing that she battled a serious health condition that nearly claimed her life and kept her in and out of hospital for months.
The singer made the revelation during a recent interview with Galaxy TV Uganda, where she reflected on some of the personal challenges she has quietly endured this year.
Ava Peace revealed that she has been dealing with a health condition dating back to her Senior Two days, although she said she is not yet ready to publicly disclose the exact nature of the illness.

The condition eventually led to surgery and numerous hospital visits, forcing the singer to spend close to six months recovering before she could fully get back on her feet.
Despite the severity of her situation, Ava said she deliberately chose to keep the health battle away from the public because she did not want her fans to become worried or frightened.
“To me, the year wasn’t that good just because I chose to keep quiet and not talk about certain things. But this year I faced a lot of problems. I was very sick to an extent of a death bed, but I didn’t want to share because I did not want to scare my fans. I was in and out of the hospital,” she said.
The singer added that she has lived with the health issues for years but is currently not ready to discuss them in detail.
“I have had issues disturbing me from Senior Two, but I cannot begin to address them at this time. But I thank God that people didn’t know about it and I came out alive,” she added.
Ava Peace, however, said her condition has continued to improve and she is grateful to have come through what she described as some of the hardest moments of her life.
