Nakawa East MP Hon Ronald Balimwezo has reputedly “predicted” the demise of President Museveni. In fact, it’s not a prediction but a reality because the MP stated that Museveni will at some point pass on like absolutely everyone else.
He however puzzled about how he will go away to the country once he dies. Balimwezo added that most countries have been thrown into turmoil as soon as long-serving presidents die in power.
For the long term, the issue of Museveni leaving power has been a country-wide chatter. Museveni who has been in power for now 37 years considering that 1986 hasn’t proven any choice to step down.
it is going to be 40 years through the cease of his contemporary term ruling Uganda in 2026. however, there may be large speculation that he will run again for office in the subsequent well-known election.
The talk of a successor has been rife in the recent past. This has come as his son, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba appears geared up to take at the mantle. preparations are even already underway with him making it clear that he’s eying the presidency.
however, in line with Balimwezo, this Muhoozi presidential ambition is to hoodwink people. that is due to the fact Museveni will simply bounce back in 2026.
“President Museveni will pass on someday as anyone else does. The question is how will he leave this country? We have seen what happens in other countries where the President dies in power.
The next election, President Museveni will be on the ballot paper. This Muhoozi talk is to distract people,” said Hon Balimwezo.
Muhoozi last week made some bulletins in regard to his political goals. these involved nominating Andrew Mwenda as the spokesperson of the MK movement.
Events promoter Balaam Barugahara has been appointed as the Deputy Spokesperson for the Western Region. And Kasambya District MP Hon Daudi Kabanda Deputy Speaker of Buganda.
