Recording and performing singer Liane opened up about the overwhelming emotions she experienced after getting the opportunity to perform at Lydia Jazmine’s recently concluded concert.
After several years without appearing on a major concert stage in Kampala, Liane was given a chance to perform at Lydia Jazmine’s concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval, an opportunity she says meant a lot to her.
Speaking in an interview with Fayxol after the show, the “Holiday” singer described the experience as so fulfilling that she jokingly referred to it as a “stage orgasm,” saying she felt she had reached an emotional climax while performing.
“When I was at Lydia Jazmine’s concert, I felt like I was in heaven. Then I felt so good. Jesus, I think I can create a word that best suits it; I got a stage orgasm. If it’s stage orgasm, I got it. I climaxed,” Liane said.
She explained that returning to such a huge stage after years away from major concerts made the moment even more special, particularly because the audience sang along to her songs.
“First of all, I had taken a while without performing on a big stage, and Lydia Jazmine’s stage was that huge. People also sang along to my music. Whenever I shook my body, the applause made me feel so good,” she added.
For Liane, the enthusiastic reception from the crowd not only made her happy but also helped restore her confidence and belief in herself after spending years away from the spotlight.
