Ugandan R&B singer Ronald Magada, popularly known as Maro or the R&B Kyabazinga, has returned to Uganda from Zambia as preparations for his highly anticipated major concert gather momentum.
Maro was recently spotted and interviewed at the airport following his return, attracting fresh attention from fans eager to see the singer back in the country ahead of his planned Kampala concert.
The singer has also opened up about why his previously planned major show in 2025 failed to take place.
Maro had initially been preparing for a concert around September 2025, but the plans were put on hold following a serious road accident in Zambia involving the singer, his daughter and other people.
Although reports indicated that he suffered no major physical injuries despite the devastating condition of the vehicle, the incident reportedly took a significant emotional toll, forcing Maro and his team to change their plans and allow him time to recover mentally.
Now, the “Anjagala” hitmaker is ready to return to the big stage.
Maro revived the concert plans in 2026 and has confirmed The Great Maro Concert, scheduled for December 4, 2026, at UMA Grounds in Kampala.
The concert is expected to mark one of Maro’s biggest career comebacks in recent years after spending a lengthy period away from Uganda’s major concert scene.
The singer, who hails from Busoga and is popularly associated with the nickname “Son of the Nile,” has spent significant time living and working outside Uganda while continuing to release music.
