Veteran Kadongo Kamu musician Willy Mukabya has dismissed claims linking him to witchcraft in the music industry, saying he has never practiced it nor fallen victim to it during his career.
Speaking in an interview, the “Omwenzi Omusilu” singer said that although he has heard stories about witchcraft being practiced within the entertainment industry, he has never experienced its effects firsthand.
“I didn’t bewitch anyone, and no one bewitched me in the music industry. I heard there was witchcraft, but it never got to me,” Mukabya said.

The veteran musician added that many artists often overlook the role of God’s favor and personal fortune in achieving success and maintaining relevance in the industry.
According to Mukabya, while some people attribute fame and longevity to supernatural forces, he believes success largely comes through God’s grace, hard work, and the opportunities one receives along the way.
