NRG Radio Uganda presenter Evelyn Mic, real name Evelyn Masika, has hit back at media personality Sheilah Gashumba following comments in which Sheilah reportedly threatened to have her fired from her job.
The exchange follows a viral interview in which Sheilah accused Evelyn of attempting to sabotage her relationship with boyfriend Alex Bidandi after the radio presenter made claims that the couple had broken up.
Evelyn, who has been mourning the death of her sister, said she initially had no idea she was trending because she had stayed away from the internet. However, constant calls and messages from friends eventually alerted her to the controversy.
Despite Sheilah’s criticism, Evelyn says she has no regrets about her earlier remarks and continues to stand by her claims that the relationship had been on the rocks.
“I stand by what I said that they split up, and because of me, they are trying to patch up their relationship because I talked about it.”
Evelyn also defended previous claims she made about Sheilah’s alleged former relationships, insisting that she has evidence to support what she said.
“I am 100% sure that they dated.”
The radio presenter further criticized Sheilah for allegedly recording and publicly sharing a private phone conversation between them, describing the move as unprofessional.
Evelyn also claimed that information and screenshots allegedly being shared by Alex provide evidence of relationship problems between the couple.
“I didn’t even know she was recording. That shows some level of unprofessionalism as well…I don’t feel bad about what Sheilah said because I know the truth.”
She added that, according to what she claims to have seen, Alex had been showing people screenshots allegedly depicting Sheilah pleading to restore their relationship.
The latest exchange has added another chapter to the public disagreement between the two media personalities, with both sides maintaining their respective positions.
