Long before forex, he was already looking for ways to make money and build something of his own. After high school, he explored different businesses, including selling clothes from a roadside umbrella, dealing in phones and electronics, and ventures into real estate. He did not follow the conventional university-to-career path. Instead, he began working and making money through different ventures at a relatively young age. Those who knew him from school remember another characteristic that appeared early: ambition.
His brother Jamaa, who attended school with him, remembers him as an exceptionally strong mathematics student and someone who consistently seemed to want more from life. Top FX is the youngest of seven children.

But his story would eventually take him far beyond the environment where it began. Between 2017 and the early 2020s, he spent several years in South Africa before eventually moving to the United States. He has busted different countries including Dubai where he has gone for holidays and shopping sprees. Those years abroad became an important part of his personal development, exposing him to different environments and broadening his ambitions.
Then came forex.
About three years ago, this young man entered the financial markets.
Like Many People Entering Trading
Like many people entering trading for the first time, he initially underestimated the difficulty.
And, for a while, the market appeared to reward that confidence. He began winning trades. Then more trades. The early success created momentum, and, naturally, confidence.
But the financial markets eventually introduced him to the other side of the equation.
He lost. He lost it all, including the last relationships. He blew accounts. Went against his own rules.
Returned to the drawing board.

He recovered. Then struggled again. There were periods of significant progress followed by periods of equally significant setbacks.
Three years of trading therefore did not produce a straight line upward. It produced something much more complicated: up, down, and down again. Eventually followed by rebuilding.
That cycle became one of the most important parts of his education.
The Turning Point
The turning point came when he realized that forex was not going to be easy.
The problem was not simply finding a strategy.
It was learning how to control himself.
How much risk should be taken?
When should a trader stay out of the market?
What happens after a losing trade?
How does someone prevent one bad decision from becoming five?
And perhaps the most difficult question: what happens to your psychology when money is on the line?
Those experiences gradually changed the way Top FX approached trading.
He became increasingly focused on the skill, discipline, risk management, patience and trading psychology rather than simply chasing profitable trades.
He also began distancing himself from people who did not understand the direction he wanted his life to take.
Today, he trades full-time, primarily focusing on NASDAQ around the New York trading session, while simultaneously building his identity as a trading educator.
Money Should Not Be the First Thing
His educational philosophy is built around a simple principle: money should not be the first thing a trader thinks about.

The process comes first.
That philosophy has also shaped the way he interacts with beginners.
Rather than presenting trading as an effortless path to wealth, his content frequently focuses on the less glamorous side of the profession; discipline, emotional control, accepting losses and developing consistency.
Building an Education Ecosystem
His social-media journey has become almost as remarkable as his trading journey.
For more than two years, Top FX has gone live on TikTok almost every night.
That consistency has helped him build an audience approaching 30,000 followers on TikTok, alongside a wider community of more than 3,000 people across his social platforms and WhatsApp communities.
What started as trading content has gradually become an education ecosystem.
He now offers both one-on-one mentorship and group-based education, while using TikTok, YouTube and WhatsApp to interact with people learning about financial markets.
A Vision for Financial-Markets Education
But he does not see social media as the final destination.
His ambition is to establish a physical forex and financial-markets education school, beginning in East Africa and eventually expanding beyond the region while maintaining an online component.
The vision is bigger than teaching people how to place trades.
It is about creating an environment where aspiring traders can learn the technical side of the markets while also developing the discipline and psychological resilience required to survive them.
That ambition is consistent with the person his brother remembers from years earlier.
The Ambition Has Remained
The businesses have changed.
The countries have changed.
The career has changed.
But the ambition has remained, and burning brighter.
From selling clothes under a roadside umbrella, to being a DJ, to phones and electronics, to real estate, to spending years abroad, and eventually finding his way into the financial markets, Top FX’s story has never really been about finding one perfect path.
It has been about continuing to search for a bigger one.
And after roughly three years of trading — including wins, tears, sweat, blown accounts, setbacks and rebuilding — he is now trying to turn the lessons of that journey into something larger than his own trading career.
A trader.
An educator.
A community builder.
And, eventually, perhaps the founder of an institution built around financial education in East Africa.
