Musician-turned-politician Nubian Li, born Ali Bukeni, is mourning the death of his father, Baba Ratib Mududu Ombedriku, who passed away on Thursday evening.
Nubian Li broke the heartbreaking news through his social media platforms, where he commands a large following.
“Just lost my dad, Baba Ratib! Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un,” he wrote on X.
The cause of his father’s death has not yet been disclosed, as no further details about his illness or circumstances surrounding his passing have been made public.
He revealed that his father will be laid to rest tomorrow, 14 August 2026, at 4:00 in Arua City-Kenya ward.
Following the announcement, Nubian Li has received an outpouring of condolence messages from fans, friends, supporters and voters, who have encouraged him to remain strong as he and his family come to terms with the painful loss.
