Singer and performing artist Kid Fox, born Steven Kigunddu, has opened up about his music journey, romantic life and the possibility of returning to Japan if his comeback in Uganda fails to deliver the financial success he is looking for.
The “Love Is A Good Feeling” singer was asked about his reported past relationship with former popular media personality Straka Baibe, including claims that she once made advances toward him.
Kid Fox, however, looked back at the experience with a smile, admitting that he enjoyed the attention and had no problem with women making the first move.
“Straka Baibe was my good fan, friend, and she liked me. In fact, I feel good and love it when ladies hit on me. I’m yet to have children because I first wanted to make money.”
Beyond matters of romance, Kid Fox revealed that his return to Uganda after spending 14 years in Japan is not necessarily permanent.
The singer said he came back largely to reconnect with family members he had left behind many years ago, as well as refresh his mind and reconnect with his roots.
However, if he fails to establish himself financially in Uganda, he is ready to pack his bags and head back to Japan to start the money hunt all over again.
“If I fail to make good money here, I will go back, work, and hunt for the money afresh.”
Kid Fox also appeared to dismiss the pressure to chase fellow musicians for attention or opportunities, stressing that he already knows artists such as King Saha simply as colleagues and brothers in the music industry.
“Instead of going to read the Bible, how do I spend my time looking for King Saha? I know him as a musician and my brother, that’s all and enough.”
“If I fail to make good money here, I will go back abroad and work,” says Kidfox.
