Musician King Saha’s ‘Tondeka Ekololo Festival’ has registered a massive turnout, with revelers flocking to the venue hours before the main performances.
The show gates opened as early as 2:00 PM, and by 5:00 PM, the venue was already fully packed, leaving revelers with barely any room to move.
Performances kicked off early, with artistes including Nagar Land Soldier, Young Mulo, Laty Wizy and Vian Music taking to the stage to keep the crowd entertained throughout the evening.
However, before 7:00 PM, concerns emerged over the heavy congestion, with reports that some revelers were struggling to catch their breath while others reportedly collapsed.
The situation prompted organizers to ask fans seated in the front rows to push their chairs further back to create more space and improve airflow.
Some revelers complained that the venue had become too small to accommodate the massive crowd, while others were directed to the pavilion stands to create additional room.
The overwhelming turnout also sparked calls for King Saha to consider a bigger venue for his next concert.
Some fans suggested that the singer take his next major show to Namboole Stadium, arguing that a larger space would help prevent the kind of congestion witnessed at the ‘Tondeka Ekololo Festival’.
At one point, a small amount of tear gas was reportedly fired, prompting some people to cover their noses while others were seen coughing.
Despite the brief disruption, the concert continued, with performances proceeding as the evening progressed.
