Socialite Brian Kirumira, alias Bryan White, has finally walked out of jail a free man after spending a staggering 293 days on remand, in a dramatic twist to a case that has kept him behind bars without being committed to trial.
The High Court in Kampala granted Bryan White mandatory bail, bringing an end to his lengthy stay on remand and opening a new chapter in the controversial case.
Justice Paul Gadenya Wolimbwa set bail at Shs10 million and ordered Bryan White to produce two substantial sureties, each bonded at Shs50 million.
The court ordered the socialite to surrender his passport, stay away from his Badongo residence, and avoid any contact with prosecution witnesses as the case continues.
Despite walking out of jail, Bryan White is not yet out of legal trouble. He continues to face serious charges, including alleged human sacrifice and manslaughter, allegations he will have to answer before court.
After nearly 300 days behind bars, the flamboyant socialite can now breathe the air of freedom again—but with a court case still hanging over his head.
