Ugandan singer Chozen Blood has made a candid confession about his relationship with fellow musician Winnie Nwagi, revealing that he was once sexually attracted to her despite the pair never becoming romantically involved.
Speaking in a recent interview, Chozen said he found Nwagi attractive because of her beauty, confidence, and commitment to fitness. However, he explained that he deliberately chose not to act on those feelings in order to preserve the strong friendship and professional bond they shared.
“Honestly, I was sexually attracted to her. She’s a beautiful woman with how she dances, her gym body, she’s melanin and all that.”
He added that attraction does not always have to lead to a romantic relationship.
“But sometimes you can be attracted to someone and there are other good things you can work on together without fronting the sexuality part that would damage the other good things.”
Chozen also praised Nwagi for standing by him during one of the most difficult periods of his life following the loss of a parent during the COVID-19 lockdown.
According to the singer, Nwagi offered him emotional support and encouragement at a time when he was struggling, something he says he will always appreciate.
The singer further credited Nwagi with transforming his lifestyle, revealing that she inspired him to embrace fitness.
He admitted that before meeting her, he led an unhealthy lifestyle characterized by frequent partying and excessive drinking, while Nwagi remained disciplined in the gym.
“She was already exercising and I wasn’t. I used to drink a lot of champagne and my body was weak. She was aggressive and I was lazy, but I got motivated in a way, and she was there for me through it all.”
Chozen Blood and Winnie Nwagi previously experienced a public fallout that strained their relationship before eventually reconciling, and the latest revelations offer fans a deeper glimpse into the bond they have shared over the years.
