Ugandan events promoter Twizire Nobert, popularly known as Nobat Events, has been elected LC1 Chairperson of Hospital Village in Nsambya Central Parish, Makindye Division, following a commanding victory in the Local Council elections held on July 28, 2026.
According to official results released by the Electoral Commission, Nobat won the race with 104 of the 107 valid votes cast, securing an overwhelming mandate from residents.
His closest challenger, Swaleh Yahaya, garnered just two votes, while Kanyike Richard Brother received one vote.
The results were officially declared by Presiding Officer Diana Kanyago, who confirmed Nobat as the duly elected LC1 Chairperson after he emerged with the highest number of votes.
The outcome was recorded on the Electoral Commission’s Return Form for Transmission of Results for the Village Chairperson elections, which formed part of the nationwide LC1 polls conducted across Uganda.
As LC1 Chairperson, Nobat will be responsible for overseeing local administration in Hospital Village, including community security, conflict resolution, mobilization, and coordinating government programs at the grassroots level.
His election marks a new chapter for the popular promoter, who now transitions from organizing some of Uganda’s biggest entertainment events to serving his community in elective leadership.
