After three decades of making music, singer Mathias Walukagga is finally set to conquer one of Kampala’s most prestigious stages.
Walukagga is set to celebrate 30 years in the music industry with a special anniversary concert at Kampala Serena Hotel on November 28, 2026, marking what promises to be one of the biggest milestones of his career.
For the veteran singer, however, the concert carries an extra dose of excitement because it will be his first performance at Serena Hotel in his entire 30-year music journey.
Speaking about the upcoming show, Walukagga could not hide his excitement, while humorously taking a swipe at his fellow musicians for never considering him when organizing concerts at the prestigious venue.

Despite having friends in the industry, the singer joked that none of them has ever thought of inviting him to perform at their Serena Hotel shows.
“If you don’t trust that I can sing, at least they would’ve invited me to back them. I would at least sing the chorus,” he joked.
Although delivered with his trademark humor, Walukagga’s remarks underscore just how special the upcoming concert is to him.
After 30 years of hits, struggles and survival in Uganda’s competitive music industry, the veteran is finally getting his own moment on the Serena stage — and he wants his loyal fans to be part of it.
The anniversary concert will give Walukagga an opportunity to look back on his remarkable musical journey while celebrating the fans who have stood by him throughout the years.
For him, stepping onto the Serena stage is not simply another gig; it is a long-awaited milestone and a chance to prove that three decades in the game have not diminished his passion for music.
Walukagga has therefore called upon his fans and music lovers to fill the venue on November 28 and celebrate his remarkable journey with him.
After 30 years in the game, Walukagga is ready to make his long-awaited Serena debut — and he intends to make it unforgettable.
